« The solo exhibition “Floating Water Season” (Mùa nước nổi) by artist Ca Le Thang officially had taken place on December 2021 at Art Space, Vietnam University of Fine Arts, 42 Yet Kieu, Hanoi.
The series of paintings “Floating Water Season” has been created by this talented artist for the past 10 years, starting with 3 oil paintings since 1987: “Dong Thap”, “Earth breathing I” and “Earth breathing II”.
Floating season in the Mekong Delta with immense sky and water blurring the boundaries, rhythmic lines of fishing nets, reeds, yellow ‘điên điển’ flowers, struggling boats , has become a source of creative inspiration for 10 years in Ca Le Thang’s enduring visual impression.
This series of paintings has approximately 50 works, many large paintings of several square meters showing that Ca Le Thang has found a favorite painting language so that he can maintain his creative flow without fear of repetition. »
