Le Than Thu is born in 1956 in Qhi Nhon. He passed away on July 16, 2021.
On top of numerous exhibitions in Saigon and in Hanoi, this artist has also exposed his work in Singapore and in Paris in 1991. His paintings were exposed again in Singapore in 1992 and in the Metropolitan Art Museum of Tokyo and in the Kanazawa Art Museum in 1994. His work was once again shown in Tokyo in 1995 as part of the 31st edition of the Modern Art Exhibition in Asia and in the Ishikawa museum in Japan.
In 1996, he will be in Tokyo twice and for the first time in Geneva in the cadre of MEKONG 96, also in an exhibition in Bingen (Germany). The same year his work will be exposed in Bangkok and in Paris.
In the 2000s, he has exhibited in Tokyo, Singapore, USA and Australia as well as shows in HCMC and Hanoi obviously. His style has changed considerably over time to a mixed model of painting and writing.
