Le Ngoc Linh is born in 1949.
He is a graduate of the Fine Arts Academy of HCMC. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in his country, in Hanoi and HCMC.
While approaching the age of 50, Le Ngoc Linhconcours, Home et Femme creates a piece of work (Lunar Eclipse) which represents a fusion between a man and a woman. One can say that this is quite close concours, Eclipse de la Luneto what some American artists were doing in the sixties. It was a time were moral and sexual freedom was at its peak, a period very far from today’s daily life of Vietnamese citizens. The eclipse of the moon and not of the sun can be looked at as a disorder. It is the death of the moon by the sun, the domination of the Yang over the Yin, some kind of active-passive action that we find in the fusion between man and women. Both actions reflect each other and this painting shows very well this mirror effect.
The artist still deploys a great energy. He paints much using styles that evolve over the time. He is also active in numerous exhibitions.
