Nguyen Lam

Nguyen Lam is born in Cantho in 1941. He has graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Saigon in 1965. He is exposing his work as soon as 1960 and in Paris in 1961.     concours, Nu After that he participates to numerous exhibitions at an international level like in Kuala Lumpur and in Paris in 1963, in New Delhi in 1967, in Washington in 1969, in Paris in 1979, in the United States in 1991, in Singapore in 1992, in Paris in 1993 and in Singapore again. In 1994 he will expose some of his work at three different occasions in France.

In 1996 he will participate in the exhibition “Vietnamese Art after Doi Moi” organised by the Fujita Museum in Tokyo and in an exhibition in Bangkok. The H&S painting of Nguyen Lam is simply magic. The naked protagonist is looking at you peacefully from pastel surroundings that emphasize this strange and unusual feeling. She comes out of emptiness to deliver us a message of peace and innocence, it is an invitation to journey and a hand offered towards the serenity of a relationship with the refuge it can offer.
