Born in 1937 in Hanoi. He passed away in 2022.
Truong Dinh Hao paints in gouache on the paper. He limited his compositions to their essential elements, sometimes approaching the cubism, and uses colours and simple lines to describe the peaceful life of the interior of Vietnam. His paintings express a deep sense of love for the country as well as the customs and daily lives of people living there.
Dinh Hao said he accidentally landed in painting while working for the family of the artist Pham Viet Song. By observing this artist, he has learned that the painting was his passion. He began to earn his living as a model before he graduated from the School of Hanoi School of Fine Art in 1970.
